Title:
EAA Chapter 563 VMC Club
Topic:
Gauging your Remaining Fuel
Date and Time:
Sunday, October 25, 2026, starting at 18:30 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Killian Madeley
Brief Description:

This Sunday, October 25th, at 6:30 p.m., please join us in the EAA 563 hangar for our VMC Club's monthly scenario review! We will review a scenario flight in which a pilot attempts to gauge his remaining fuel after discovering that a fuel cap was left on the ground at his departure airport. With fuel gauges indicating nominal, do you elect to continue to your destination, or declare an emergency and descend through a cloud layer? Key discussion points include fuel venting, instrument interpretation, and VFR into IMC. We will also review our EAA Question of the Month.
