Title:
FAA Pilots and Medication Update with Introduction to STEMFlights
Topic:
Presentating Both FAA Update Materials on Pilots and Medication and Stemflights Helping Grow Our Next Pilot Generation!
Speaker(s):
Bill Williams
Brief Description:
The Pilots and Medication content is the FAA Provided Topic of the Month for October 2026. It will be presented by a local CFI.
The second half of the meeting will be a presentation by STEMFlights on their mission, objectives, and process for cultivating and supporting the next generation of pilots.
Our STEMFlights speaker, Bill Williams, is a Pilot with STEMFlights for over 2 years, with approx. 30 students/parents flown. This program focuses on students interested in “Hands-on” experience in aviation-based curricula. This is NOT just an introductory “Ride around the patch” like most Young Eagles programs. One of Bill's female students applied for and was accepted to the Air Force Academy after her participation in the STEMFlight Program.
Dinner and socializing from 6 to 7 followed by the presentation.
