Title:
Inadvertent Flight Into the Clouds
Topic:
Why Do Pilots End Up in the Clouds
Speaker(s):
Kathy Ihde, FAASTeam Representative
Brief Description:
VFR flight into IMC is most often fatal. How do we recognize it and more importantly prevent it? We have lost too many pilots to this. Come find out how to recognize the dangers. This discussion will be led by Kathy Ihde, CFII and FAA Safety Representative, she will examine both real examples and scenarios for training. We can all learn from mistakes!
Bring your copilot and a few friends so we can all be safer in the sky!
You will learn more about the importance of a proper pre flight briefing and continuous situational awareness en-route and the services available to keep an eye on the weather as well as proper alternate airports.
This meeting is meant as a discussion so please bring your questions along so that we may answer them.
