Title:
Are You Ready for Your Practical Test
Topic:
How to Improve your Practical Test
Date and Time:
Tuesday, September 15, 2026, starting at 11:00 Mountain Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
David Klein
Brief Description:

Hosted by FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) David Klein, this session is designed to clarify the practical test process. It begins with the essential first steps of properly qualifying both the applicant and the aircraft, ensuring a smooth start to checkride day.

During the seminar, the DPE will offer a comprehensive review of the Airman Certification Standards (ACS) format. He will explain how DPEs construct their questions and assess an applicant's decision-making skills. He will review those tasks that applicants historically fall below the ACS standards.  By revealing the examiner's perspective, attendees will learn how to avoid common pitfalls and transform their preparation into a polished practical test performance.

Overall, the seminar promotes safety by equipping pilots & CFIs with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to meet high standards in both testing, teaching and everyday flying.
