This webinar forum will allow interaction and Q&A between flight instructors and DPE's. Join us for success tips at this quarterly offering to "Meet the DPE's" and hear the concerns and thoughts of CFI's in our region. 

Panelists will include FPM's from the New England area, who will be able to share the trends in each district.

Discussion on Runway Status Lights systems as a knowledge element (PA.III.A.K9), and how it appears on the knowledge test and MAY be tested in the practical. However, it is a lot further down the list and in reality, has way less practical application at the Private & Commercial level than any of the other knowledge elements listed. Discussion on new Hotspot at approach end of 22R, near Mike taxiway and hi-speed turning off at the end of 4R.

Discussion will also include emergency procedures, and are CFI's teaching "to the test" or are they teaching real-world practical skills? What do the DPE's think of this? Does this make a more well rounded and educated student, or should they just be trained to "pass"? What are we seeing in the field?
