Brief Description:

Many in-flight emergencies do not occur without warning. Often, subtle anomalies and abnormal indications provide pilots with valuable time to assess the situation, make informed decisions, and take actions that can significantly reduce risk and improve outcomes. Join American Bonanza Society Air Safety Foundation (ASF) Executive Director, Tom Turner, as he examines three real-world NTSB accident and incident reports that illustrate how seemingly minor issues can evolve into serious emergencies. Through each case study, Tom will explore the sequence of events, identify critical decision points, and discuss alternative actions that may have changed the outcome. Participants will gain practical insights into emergency management, aeronautical decision-making, and cockpit prioritization techniques.
