Losing Oil Pressure
Date and Time:
Monday, July 6, 2026, starting at 18:30 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dave Rudd IMC Leader, Tony Kolar CFI-I
Brief Description:

This seminar is not meant as a lecture but rather an open discussion forum using real world scenarios to increase your level of safety in the IFR environment such as this scenario: Losing Oil Pressure.  While in route on an IFR flight plan in IFR conditions with ceilings of 700 to 1,200 feet overcast to broken and visibility of 5 to 7 miles you notice you are losing oil pressure. Few minutes later the engine starts to run rough and it is getting dark.

To ensure a safe flight your priorities as PIC are to Aviate, Navigate & Communicate.  Safe instrument flying is a matter of mitigating risk, personal minimums and standard operating procedures.  The Sheboygan Falls (WI) EAA 766 IMC Club provides organized “hangar flying” focused on building proficiency in instrument flying.  An instrument rating is not required for attendance.
