Title:
2025 Houston Area Accident Review
Topic:
How do general aviation accidents in the Houston Area in 2025 compare to those in previous years?
Speaker(s):
Lance Little, Houston FSDO, FAASTeam Program Manager, Aviation Safety Inspector
Brief Description:
2024 recorded the lowest GA fatal accident rate since the FAA began tracking it in 2009, with notable improvement among experimental and amateur-built aircraft and helicopters. Did this trend also hold true in the Houston area? If it appears that accidents were more frequent, this may be due to increased visibility in the digital age and the widespread use of cell phone cameras rather than an actual rise in incidents.
How many GA accidents were there in the Houston area? What are the trends in these accidents, both nationally and locally? What can we learn from them?
Join us as Lance Little, FAASTeam Program Manager, presents the 2025 statistics for the Houston FSDO area, helping us identify local trends - and what we can do to avoid them.
This is a 1.5 hour program.
