This event examines the factors contributing to Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) within the unique geographic and meteorological landscape of the Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma corridor. Participants will review regional accident case studies and discuss practical risk-management strategies to enhance situational awareness during all phases of flight. The session aims to equip pilots with the tools necessary to recognize and mitigate terrain-related hazards in this high-traffic transition zone.
