Title:
Flight Operations In The Late Winter/Early Spring Months
Topic:
Review and Discussion of Safety Considerations for Late Winter and Early Spring Cold Temperature Flight Operations
Brief Description:
The new year has started and spring weather will be arriving soon. That said, cold temperatures and winter weather phenomena will continue to affect flight operations for at least a couple more months - especially at cruising altitudes, higher elevations, and northern latitudes. Join us for a discussion of flight planning, pre-flight inspection, weather, icing, navigation, and emergency preparedness considerations for safe flying during this seasonal transition period. The discussion will refresh and reinforce your awareness of potential safety hazards that can occur when flying in the late-winter / early-spring season.
