This FAASTeam safety seminar will focus on a pilot’s responsibility for collision avoidance at all times, with special emphasis on operations conducted under ATC-issued visual clearances. Using the FAA’s newly released Visual Clearances program as a reference, this discussion will clarify common misconceptions about visual separation, ATC responsibilities, and pilot obligations.
