Topic:
How human factors influence decision making. How mitigation changes the outcome.

Dr. Ian Johnson, FAA
Brief Description:
Weather-related accidents continue to result in the highest annual General Aviation (GA) fatalities. In many of these accidents, human error is cited as a contributing factor. Additionally, psychological factors such as cognitive and affective factors also play a role in the pilot’s decision-making. Attend this session and learn about these factors and how they may influence your decision-making. Additionally, we will review tools and techniques available to mitigate these psychological factors.
