Title:
EAA Chapter 75 IMC Club
Topic:
Risk Management for GA Pliots, IFR Quiz, IFR Departure Planning
Speaker(s):
Dan Murphy, Bernie Nitz
Brief Description:
Join us for an enlightening FAASTeam presentation that delves into "Risk Management for GA Pilots". This session will provide invaluable insights into how to evaluate potential risk associated with a flight, evaluate the criticality of the risk, and determine ways of mitigating the risk. We’ll take a high-level view of a process that has increased safety and effectiveness of aviation organizations world-wide. And we’ll describe how that process can help smaller organizations – even individual pilots to improve Aeronautical Decision Making, Crew Resource Management, and Safety Culture.
IFR Quiz: Test your knowledge with our interactive IFR Quiz, designed to enhance your understanding of instrument procedures.
IFR Departure Planning: An IFR departure is one of the most unforgiving phases of flight because it compresses multiple risks into a short time window: low altitude, high workload, limited performance margins, and often no outside visual references. Let's discuss some risk management tips.
