Title:
Houston Class Bravo Safety Briefing
Topic:
Houston Class Bravo - Approaches, Traffic Flow and Safety Issues
Date and Time:
Wednesday, January 21, 2026, starting at 19:00 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Jeremiah Carlson, ATC Specialist, Houston TRACON, NATCA Representative
Brief Description:

As pilots in the Houston area, we tend to take for granted that we fly in and around Class Bravo airspace for both IAH and HOU. We know we must contact ATC if we plan to fly IN the Bravo, and do what they tell us. Have we ever considered how the approaches work at the core airports? How the traffic flows in and out of the Bravo airspace? Or the safety risks that are associated with flying directly below the Bravo?
Jeremiah Carlson, Air Traffic Control Specialist, Houston TRACON, and Procedures Representative for Houston NATCA Chapter, will discuss these issues.

This event delivers 1.5 hours of aviation safety topics.
