Nellis & Luke Air Force Base Airspace Safety Teams providing outreach information to users of general aviation airports within 100 nm of Nevada test and training range (NTTR) & Luke Air Force Base Military Operations Areas. Discussion will include nature of Special Use Airspace (SUA), and how to safely navigate in and around the SUA. USAF rated pilots & ATC controllers will be in attendance to answer your flying & ATC related questions. Team will discuss:
• Military flight operations in Nevada test & training range & Gladden/Bagdad MOAS
• Local special use airspace & military training routes
• Military helicopter operations areas
• Remotely piloted aircraft & drone operations
• High density traffic areas around Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, phoenix
• ATC services available from United Stated Air Force controllers
• How to talk to ATC & safely navigate around active SUA/airspace
• Keys to avoiding mid-air collisions
