Title:
How Do You Feel Today
Topic:
Emotional and Mental Health in Aviation
Date and Time:
Thursday, September 25, 2025, starting at 18:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
CA Charlie Curreri
Brief Description:

Pilots operate in arduous environments that often create occupational, personal, physical, and mental health issues. It is well documented that pilots are averse to reporting medical and mental health issues to their AME, and subsequently avoid seeking care. With this in mind, this discussion will cover topics that include the recent 2024 FAA Aviation Rulemaking Committee (ARC) on Pilot Mental Health, barriers to self-reporting, and the need to improve mental health literacy while reducing stigma in the aviation community.
