Title:
GA Accident Review For Houston Area - 2024
Topic:
What Kind Of GA Accidents Occurred In The Houston Area In 2024; How Do They Compare To Previous Years?
Date and Time:
Tuesday, August 26, 2025, starting at 19:00 Central Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Lance Little, Houston FSDO, FAASTeam Program Manager, Aviation Safety Inspector
Brief Description:

According to NTSB data for 2024, there were a total of 1,006 single-engine plane accidents investigated by them in the US.  Except for 2020 (the year of COVID), this is the smallest number of accidents since 2006. If it seems like more, blame the digital age and ubiquitousness of cell phone cameras.

How many GA accidents were there in the Houston area?  How do our aviation accidents compare with the larger trends?  What are the trends in accidents in our area, and what can we learn from them?

Join us as Lance Little, FSDO Team Manager, presents the statistics for 2024 for the Houston FSDO area and helps us learn to recognize the trends in our area - and what to do to avoid them.

This is approximately a 1.5 hour program.
