Title:
Vernal Pilot Safety Meeting
Topic:
First Responder Aircraft Ingress Training
Date and Time:
Wednesday, August 13, 2025, starting at 18:00 Mountain Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Clark Hall
Brief Description:

This informal safety session brings local pilots and first responders together on the Vernal ramp. The goal? Help our emergency crews get hands-on experience with GA aircraft so they’re better prepared to assist in the event of an accident. We’ll walk them through how to access cockpits, open doors and windows, locate fuel selectors, mags, battery switches, and other key systems across a variety of aircraft (high-wing, low-wing, and retractable). Pilots and owners are invited to bring their aircraft out and answer questions as responders learn what’s behind the doors and panels of small planes. This is a great chance to build relationships between our aviation community and first responders—helping make Vernal a safer place to fly.
