Follow along on your EFB, and bring your experience, stories and questions—and be ready to engage and participate. All are welcome, but please register, so we can plan for breakfast and seating.

Please join us at the EAA Chapter 617 hangar for a hearty breakfast starting at 8:00am (donation appreciated), followed at 9:00am by this month's safety meeting, featuring News, Scenarios and Questions of the Month.  WINGS credit available!

Flying?

Use a current airport/taxiway diagram and check NOTAMs. Be aware of new runway designations: 16-34.  Double check NOTAMs!

Taxi to the main ramp.   Exit through the terminal building or gate.  Walk to the hangar via the road. 

Limited plane parking by the EAA Chapter 617 Hangar.  Please do not block any hangars!

Driving?

Exit the OR-126 roundabout onto Tom McCall Road, then a quick left onto SW Aviation Blvd.

Drive ahead and then around the right-hand curve to the stop sign.  EAA Chapter 617 hangar is in front of you, slightly to the left.  Please do not block any hangars!

Who can attend?

These meetings are open to everyone with an interest in aviation safety.

What is a VMC Club? 

An EAA VMC Club is an extension of a local EAA Chapter and offers programs where pilots network, share knowledge and experiences, and discuss safety and proficiency using real-world examples and scenarios.

What is the purpose of a VMC Club?

The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, foster communications, promote safety and build proficiency in flying.

Should I bring anything to the meeting?

Yes—bring your thoughts, stories and curiosity, and be willing to share with the group.  The meetings are designed to be highly interactive.

If you use an "EFB", bring it with you to follow along with charts, etc.
