Brief Description:

This two hour event is presented by the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) from the Albany Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). The seminar will cover information of interest to all pilots and student pilots. The topic will be presented by our FAASTeam Representative and Commercial Flight Instructors, Eric Shaw and Shawn Herrmann.

During this months Seminar, we will present The Topic of The Month, The Stabilized Approach.The stabilized approach is the foundation of a successful landing. Nearly 20 percent of fatal accidents occur during the approach phase of flight. Pilots should always be prepared to go-around and practice their go-around procedures.

This two hour even will be held at the Watertown Airport, in the Fixed Base Operation (FBO). Enter the parking lot for the Watertown Airport, then proceed straight ahead to the FBO. The seminar will be held in the classroom inside the FBO building.
