Title:
In Flight Weather Resources - and Volunteer Flying Opportunities
Topic:
Double Feature: Awareness of In-Flight Weather Resources, and How Volunteer Flying can make you a better pilot
Date and Time:
Tuesday, August 16, 2022, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ray Stratton
Brief Description:

Two feature presentations will be put on tonight, starting with the FAA's Topic Of The Month on the subject of In Flight Weather Resources.

The 21st Century has brought an unprecedented wealth of information to general aviation cockpits. Near real time graphical and textual weather products contribute greatly to pilot situational awareness and decision making. But pilots must understand the capabilities and limitations of the equipment and the information it provides.

Next, FAPA member Ray Stratton will discuss how flying as a volunteer pilot can make you a better and safer pilot. Take your flight planning process to the next level when you have to take in new considerations, go new places, and meet a schedule.
