Brief Description:
With hot summer weather here, we will be discussing how to keep our club aircraft engines within the normal operating range, not only to reduce the risk of catastrophic failure, but to also make our engines last. We will be discussing detonation, preignition, EGTs, CHTs, etc. and how to mitigate them. This presentation will be specific to the engines and airframes used in our club and how to set the mixture properly for safe operation.
