Many of us have heard about getting ramp checked, but how many of you have actually had one? Does the thought of getting one make you nervous? If you haven’t prepared, you probably should. Once again, the best cure for fear is knowledge.

In this presentation, the Greensboro FAASTeam will explain what inspectors are looking for and what to know so you can be ready if and when it happens. This is a hands on demonstration as the inspector actually Ramp Check a Flight School aircraft.

Directions to Venue:

Follow I-40 E to NC-24 E/NC-903 N in Duplin County. Take exit 373 from I-40 E.

Merge onto US-1 N/US-64 E.

Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 1A to merge onto I-40 E/US-64 E toward US-64 E/Benson/Rocky Mt.  

Keep right at the fork to continue on I-40 E, follow signs for Benson/Wilmington.

Take exit 373 for NC-24 E/NC-903/Kenansville toward Magnolia.

Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Kenansville/Jacksonville.

Follow NC-24 E, NC-50 S and NC-111 S to your destination in Richlands.

Turn left onto NC-24 E/NC-903 N.  Continue to follow NC-24 E.

Turn right onto D S Williamson Rd. Turn right onto NC-50 S.

Turn left onto NC-41 N/NC-50 S. Continue straight onto NC-41 N.

Keep right to continue on NC-111 S. Turn right onto Albert J. Ellis Airport Rd
