Topic:
CFI Forum 3rd Quarter – Teaching Safety Risk Management (SRM)
Date and Time:
Thursday, July 1, 2021, starting at 19:00 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Dan Gerbus-ATP, CFII
Brief Description:

Aeronautical Decision Making, Safety Management System, Threat and Error Management, Cockpit and Crew Resource Management, Safety Risk Management.  We’ve developed a lot of acronyms over the years that describe the process of detecting hazards, assessing the risk that hazards will compromise safety of flight, and eliminating or mitigating those risks to acceptable levels.

Whatever you choose to call it; a systematic process for defining what you’re getting into and deciding how to deal with it is essential to safe flight operations.

We’re going to talk about how and when we teach Safety Risk Management to our students and we’ll share some SRM education best practices along the way.
