Introduction

"What Kind of Pilot Runs Out of Gas?" Presented by Mike Adams, Senior Vice President of Underwriting at Avemco Insurance Company.

Mike will share his own story to show how easily an empty fuel tank can ruin a beautiful flight. His presentation arises from his perspective as a student pilot and instrument-rated pilot, combined with his extensive insurance background.

Every flight school has its own way of doing things that seem perfectly logical yet often unwittingly may send conflicting messages to the pilot/student/client. Every CFI and pilot knows exactly what discussions about fuel calculations and fuel management mean, but pilots still run out of gas far too often.
