Airplanes come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they all share the same basic components.  This lesson will explain some aviation terms, discuss the construction of different types of airplanes, and use video and 3-D animations to explain how various systems in an airplane work.

This lesson will cover: Parts of an airplane, flight controls, powerplant and propeller, landing gear, fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems, electrical system, and the environmental system.
