Gear up for water landing! Accident statics consistently indicate that one of the greatest threats to amphibious seaplane operations is gear-down water landings. Produced by the Seaplane Foundation and our manufacturing partners, this course specifically addresses how to develop & employ the best procedures, checklists, and mnemonics to avoid the often fatal error of making a gear-down water landing. Recommended for all seaplane pilots, seaplane owner / operators, seaplane instructors, designees (DPE’s), and those looking to earn their seaplane rating.
This course consists of a short video followed by an online knowledge test. Once completed successfully, pilots will receive 1/2 BK3 (Basic WINGS Knowledge Topic 3) credit towards their WINGS certification.
