Seminars on Advanced Backcountry Flying Safety will be held at the Copperstate Fly-In October 27 & 28  2016. Presented by Milne "CC" Pocock of Bush Air.

Saturday October 28th, 1PM tent 2.

The objective of this seminar is to make all attendees aware of safer and better flying techniques and procedures for the safe operation of light fixed wing aircraft in Back Country and Mountainous area's as well as general every day flying.

 

Subjects will include:

  • Familiarization, test flying and exploring the flight envelope of the aircraft. (Getting to know your aircraft). 
  • Optimum performance take-off's, stabilized approaches and landing's.
  • Short take-off & landing and hot and high operations.
  • Mountain flying basics.
  • Bad weather mountain flying ("Scud running") and controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).
