Two seminars on Advanced Bush & Mountain /  Backcountry Flying Safety will be held during the week at EAA Sun n Fun 2018. Presented by "CC" Milne Pocock of Bush Air.

The objective of this seminar is to make all attendees aware of safer and better flying techniques and procedures for the safe operation of light fixed wing aircraft in Back Country and Mountainous area's.

 

Subjects will include:

  • Familiarization, test flying and exploring the flight envelope of the aircraft. (Getting to know your aircraft). 
  • Optimum performance take-off's, stabilized approaches and landing's.
  • Short take-off & landing (STOL). Hot and high take-off and landing.
  • Mountain flying basics and 1-way-in-1-way-out strips.
  • Bad weather mountain flying ("Scud running") and controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).

Location: EAA Sun n Fun, Lakeland, Florida.
