"Partners on the Air - A Conversation between Pilots and Controllers about Radio Communication"
Wednesday, July 6, 2016 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time

Located at:
San Carlos Flight Center
655 Skyway Road
Suite 215
San Carlos, CA 94070

Description:

The pilot and controller partnership is vitally important to aviation safety. The services that controllers provide to pilots make VFR flights much safer, and make IFR flights possible. The Air Traffic Control system in the US is a very efficient and effective method of allowing thousands of flights to safely happen at the same time. It works because both sides of the relationship – pilots and controllers – work together to exchange the information needed.

In this seminar, Dan Dyer and Air Traffic Controller Dylan C. Krassensky discuss each individual’s responsibility, and how to improve communication for safety and efficiency. Each will recount scenarios from their own experience and use outside examples to provide examples of both the good and the bad.
