What is the EAA/IMC Club:

The IMC club is part of the EAA’s Flight Proficiency initiative and provides an organized "hangar flying" opportunity at each meeting. This meeting is open to all current, non-current, and future instrument pilots!   Membership in the EAA/IMC Club is encouraged but not required to participate in this meeting.

What is the purpose of the EAA/IMC Club:

Our aim is to promote safety in instrument flying by creating a community of pilots to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote a safety culture and build proficiency in instrument flying.   As a professional CFII/MEI, Radek Wyrzykowski conceived of a volunteer mentor program to help instrument pilots improve their proficiency.  Now, as the director of the EAA’s Flight Proficiency program he oversees over 250 IMC Clubs around the world, each focused on education, building instrument flying knowledge, skills and IFR proficiency.

The EAA/IMC program under his leadership, offers a resource-rich website which provides an electronic experience base. For more information about the EAA/IMC Club, and a free initial membership please visit www.eaa.org /imcclub.

What should I bring:

Bring your thoughts, experiences and questions and be willing to share them with the group as the meeting is very interactive and participatory.  A guided discussion is a fundamental element to the EAA/IMC Club meeting.  Many have found it helpful to bring along a copy of their reference charts, flight or GPS manual and the like.  If you navigate with an iPad, or EFD bring it along.    There is no fee to attend but voluntary donations are accepted to cover expenses.

Equal Access Information:
The FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) is committed to providing equal access to this meeting/event for all participants. If you need alternative formats or services because of a disability, please communicate your request as soon as possible with the person in the “Contact Information” area of the meeting/event notice.
