Title:
Beyond Approach - Understanding the Plates Part 1
Topic:
Truly UNDERSTAND IFR Approach Plates and what they tell us!
Date and Time:
Wednesday, February 19, 2020, starting at 19:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ron Berinstein - CFII-Aerobatic & FAA Wings Master Pilot
Brief Description:

Beyond Approach unleashes a huge airspace picture otherwise hidden. Great for VFR & IFR pilots! We'll expose the IFR Approach as depicted on Approach Charts (Plates) and translates what the symbols mean, and what the "plate" tells us!  We'll understand what we need to do to fly an approach successfully.

This Seminar is intended for those thinking about an IFR Rating, and for the Smart GA Pilot that would like a Refresher, or would like to learn to fly more professionally.  It is NOT really intended for the commercial IFR pilot that regularly flies Part 135, etc. This is Part 1. Allow ATC to help keep you safe and on course!   Studying IFR flying can unleash a number of freedoms for a pilot, and at the same time can add that shiny polish to our flight qualifications we are all looking for.

With NextGen at our doorsteps we all will be flying in airspace that will become a bit more complicated to understand.  This seminar might assist in making your vision clearer.

Aviation Videos will start at 6:30 p.m.

NOTE: As a reminder; Pilot Airspace Deviations continue to be a major risk in the national airspace system.  To reduce the chance that you might be involved in an airspace deviation incident, you are highly encouraged to take an on-line learning center course on www.faasafety.gov.  Or search the learning library for associated guidance on airspace incursions.  Remember, safe and prudent airmen have superior situational awareness, and have a plan to keep it that way.
