Ditching and Water Survival with Doug Ritter

A VC99's Pilot Proficiency Class

Saturday, Mar 14   2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

If you fly over water, (any water, be it ocean, lake or river) during take-off, landing or enroute, you need to see this program. Doug is the world's leading authority on ditching general aviation aircraft. Doug torpedoes numerous myths and old wives' tales about ditching. He will and cover the actual ditching process and egress procedures; water survival equipment; water survival strategies; over water search and rescue procedures; the open water environment; hypothermia and other physiological concerns; and the psychological aspects of water survival.?

Instructor: Doug Ritter, is an award winning journalist and internationally recognized authority on survival equipment. He is the founder, Publisher and Editor of the acclaimed Equipped to Survive Web site, www.equipped.org, and Board Chairman & Executive Director of the Equipped To Survive Foundation. He sits on U.S. and international committees that determine specifications for aviation, marine and terrestrial survival equipment. Ritter’s flying experience ranges from Ultralights to the F16. If the question is General Aviation survival, Doug Ritter likely has the definitive answer.?
