Equipping Yourself to Survive – Survival Equipment and Fundamental Survival Skills
with Doug Ritter
A VC99's Pilot Proficiency Class
Saturday, Mar 14 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
When your flight has gone about as bad as it possibly could, your survival may well depend upon the survival equipment you carry and the skills to use that gear effectively. Doug will give you the straight story on the survival gear you should never be without and, just as important, what gear is worth betting your life on and what isn't. Then he will teach you the practical fundamentals of how to use that gear to survive and get yourself rescued.
Instructor: Doug Ritter, is an award winning journalist and internationally recognized authority on survival equipment. He is the founder, publisher and editor of the acclaimed Equipped to Survive Web site, www.equipped.org, and Board Chairman & Executive Director of the Equipped To Survive Foundation. He sits on U.S. and international committees that determine specifications for aviation, marine and terrestrial survival equipment. Ritter’s flying experience ranges from Ultralights to the F16. If the question is General Aviation survival, Doug Ritter likely has the definitive answer.
