Brief Description:
In this presentation we will discuss one aspect of ADM: dealing with distractions and interruptions - two hazards that we need to manage whenever we’re walking, driving a vehicle, or flying a plane.
We will cite some statistics on distracted driving and discuss how distraction led to the loss of an airliner.
We will also talk about interruptions – a type of distraction that can be a significant hazard when it occurs in a critical operational phase.
We will offer some suggestions and best practices for dealing with distractions and interruptions.
