Title:
What is Value Added Maintenance
Topic:
Value Added Maintenance
Date and Time:
Monday, November 25, 2019, starting at 18:00 Central Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Geff Galbari, Jurg Grossenbacher
Brief Description:

What is value added maintenance? Why should you care? What can you do?

First, value added maintenance is aircraft maintenance performed by a Certificated Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) that works in close collaboration with the aircraft owner/ pilot. Rather than simply dropping off the airplane at the maintenance shop for the Annual Aircraft Inspection we will talk about the importance of pilot/mechanic interaction before, during and after the inspection. We will discuss the pros and cons of owner assisted maintenance. We will discuss some of the maintenance that a pilot can perform themselves.

The discussion will be led by Geff Galbari, Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Jurg Grossenbacher, FAAST Program Manager. We are counting on your participation. Questions are welcome.

You should care because your life depends on it! Jurg will address this through accident and incidents that occurred in Wisconsin due in part of overlooked maintenance issues by the owner/pilot of these aircraft.

What can you do? Come and join us for this interactive seminar designed to address: Pilots and Mechanics.
