Title:
How to Handle a Fire in Flight
Topic:
Suddenly a fire breaks out in the cabin, your worst nightmare might be flashing before you. How do you handle it?
Date and Time:
Saturday, November 23, 2019, starting at 12:00 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Jason Miller
Brief Description:

Suddenly you start to smell the burning of something within the cockpit, and it’s not going away. The unexpected might just be happening in front of your eyes, a fire in flight. Most of us are never taught within our flight training on how to adequately deal with a fire in flight, besides being aware that a fire extinguisher exists in the first place.

This seminar marks the beginning of our new series on handling emergencies. To kick it off, we have invited Jason Miller, an award winning CFI, to discuss how pilots can effectively handle fires. Fires are triggered by a series of events, starting with the smallest things, and end up spreading like wildfire. What might be the first indications of a problem lurking beyond the dashboard? Not every situation is the same, so how does a pilot respond to these issues? Throughout this seminar we will discuss the various ways you can most expeditiously handle these life-threatening scenarios.

If you want to make sure that you are ready to handle this unthinkable experience and stay alive, don’t miss this seminar.
