Title:
How To Be A Good Safety Pilot
Topic:
Being a good safety pilot!
Date and Time:
Wednesday, November 20, 2019, starting at 19:30 Pacific Standard Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Kelly O'Dea
Brief Description:

Kelly O’Dea, full time WVFC flight instructor will be presenting a seminar on what a safety pilot is, what the FAA rules are and the responsibilities of this very important position as a required crew member when operating with either an instrument rated pilot for currency requirements, or, a pilot working towards the instrument aeronautical experience required for the instrument rating.

This seminar is open to all pilots who are curious to learn the details of this topic. We would especially like to welcome any seasoned instrument pilots who are willing to share their insights on what makes or breaks an effective simulated instrument flight in regards to the safety pilot. Needless to say, this should be a great opportunity to meet other future instrument pilots as well as experienced instrument pilots and make connections with potential safety pilots. Let’s strengthen our network of safety pilots and keep sharp while operating en route in the National Airspace System.
