Title:
Upsets, Unusual Attitudes, and Acrobatics
Topic:
Surviving Upsets, Wake Encounters, Unusual Attitudes, and Acrobatics
Speaker(s):
Lennert Von Clemm
Brief Description:
What if you suddenly find that the airplane is flying you? The nose pitches out of control, or you are rolling inverted? Was it turbulence, wind shear from a passing cloud or wake vortex from an airliner? Maybe you simply enjoy flying upside down. We will tell you about all of these, and more, and also offer training in fully acrobatic Citabrias.
Our speaker is the veteran local CFI Lennert Von Clemm, a Flight Instructor and ATP with over 20,000 flight hours in many different aircraft types, quite a lot of which he has spun, looped and rolled, mostly on purpose.

Amelia Reid Aviation and Lennert Von Clemm invite you to the "Upsets, Unusual Attitudes, and Acrobatic Flight" seminar. Speaker Lennert Von Clemm is the Chief Pilot at Amelia Reid Aviation, an ATP, has single and multi engine land and sea ratings and type ratings in many different aircraft types. Many of the things we don't even like to think about have actually happened to him. He has looped, rolled and spun more airplanes than most, some even on purpose.
What if you do find yourself rolling inverted and pitching towards the ground? What if you get caught in a mountain wave or rotor? We'll discuss remedies that will help you understand and survive such possibilities. We can also train you in actual acrobatic airplanes.
Whether it is deliberate acrobatic flight for fun or competition, or an inadvertent upset, wake turbulence encounter, loss of control in IMC, or a whole host of other possibilities, Len will shine a light on the topic and help us understand what to do and how to do it.
Flight Instructors are encouraged to attend this seminar with their students.
Event Sponsored by Amelia Reid Aviation - http://www.ameliareid.com. Amelia Reid Aviation has been in the business of teaching the art of flying for over 45 years, both primary flight training, and also tailwheel, acrobatics and advanced ratings.
