Brief Description:

Please note the special date and time of this seminar;

Saturday, November 23, 2019 starting at 10:00 am EST

Phase One is the Presentation of the “Wright Brothers Master Pilot”  Award.  The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award is the most prestigious award the FAA issues to pilots certified under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 61. This award is named after the Wright Brothers, the first US pilots, to recognize individuals who have exhibited professionalism, skill, and aviation expertise for at least 50 years while piloting aircraft as "Master Pilots". This award will be presented to a pilot that spends his winters in the Plant City area and while here flies his aircraft out of KPCM.

The Second Phase of the seminar will be a one hour presentation on “Pilot Proficiency Training”.  During this portion of the seminar, we will hold a guided group discussion of “Pilot Proficiency Training” including the necessity of continuing to build on our proficiency as pilots; how we can do that and the difference between Currency and Proficiency. We will discuss different methods to maintain proficiency and how to ensure that the Proficiency Training we participate in is beneficial to us.

Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony and congratulate this fellow local pilot and to stay for the seminar.
