Brief Description:
VMC Scenario – This will be a scenario involving possible misinterpretation of a Maximum Elevation Figure on a sectional chart. The presentation will also include a quick review of MEF (Maximum Elevation Figure) and OROCA (Off Route Obstruction Clearance Altitude).
IMC Scenario – This scenario involves an actual night IFR flight from Key West , Florida, to Suffolk Virginia in 2015. We will review the NTSB conclusions and some additional factors leading to the fight’s outcome.
