Attention all helicopter Managers, Mechanics and Pilots! Join us for the very latest information on the safety issues facing the rotorcraft industry presented by some of the top industry experts in their field. A panel of experts from Manufacturers, Helicopter Safety Alliance, FAA Safety Team, and the Long Beach FSDO will discuss local issues affecting helicopter pilots, accident trends, personal risk assessment, safety initiatives, and many more topics relevant to all operators. This is going to be an extraordinary gathering of the rotorcraft community in one place. Helicopter Safety Alliance and the US Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) work together in promoting safety in the helicopter industry. This event is being held the following day of the USHST events that are occurring on August 14-15. The date of this event is Friday August 16.

The all day event will be held at the Robinson Helicopter Company in Torrance, California.

Directions to Venue:

From the 110 Freeway, exit Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) which is CA-1 and head West.

You will continue on PCH for approximately 3.5 miles (Past Crenshaw Blvd.) then you will make a right turn on Robinson Way which will lead right to the main building. There will be signs for the event and parking is in front of the main building.

Registration, coffee and pastries from 7:30 - 8:30 am.  This is an all day event.  There will be static helicopter displays and vendors booths.  Please PRE-register register for this event.  This gives us a head count for lunch.

Guest speakers from Helicopter Safety Alliance (HSA), Airbus, Air Methods, FAASTeam, Industry and Manufacturers will discuss the statistics and present mitigation strategies applicable to 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 helicopter operators and flight schools. In a breakout session in the afternoon, Bill Hopper will talk about the “Dirty Dozen” – human factors that affect maintenance technicians. Guest speakers will discuss the reasons and present best practices to prevent and protect yourself in everyday operations and in the training environment.

Safety toolkits, safety magazines and brochures will be available for you to take home.

All 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 helicopter operators are encouraged to attend.
