Brief Description:

Now is your opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to help maintain safe air tour operations over the Black Hills and surrounding National Parks.  The 18 members of the Black Hills Aerial Safety Council have voluntarily agreed to participate in this annual meeting.

Aviation Safety is number one priority for all of us, and participation at this meeting is greatly appreciated.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in cooperation with the National Park Service (NPS) is taking pro-active steps to raise greater awareness with air tour operators and address safe operations.

Our main objective of this meeting is to foster and provide open communication and discuss a variety of topics which help mitigate and prevent adverse impacts on natural/cultural resources, visitor experiences, and tribal lands.

 * There are five National Parks/Memorials that are members of our Black Hills Aerial Safety Council.

Directions to Venue:

This meeting will take place at the Rapid City Regional Airport Fire Station #8 Conference Room.  Once you turn off Highway 44 toward the airport, keep driving straight ahead and continue past the traffic light up the hill toward the general aviation hangars.  The Fire Station #8 will be to your right and parking is available in front of the building at no expense.  If flying into the airport, aircraft tie-downs and fuel services are available.
