Greg Deeds is the founder and CEO of Technology Exploration Group, Inc., an innovative and award winning rapid prototyping and software company. Greg is a solutions-oriented, award winning leader and software developer with demonstrated excellence in combining innovative and complex concepts to produce effective applications using a variety of tools and operating systems.
Greg has produced leading-edge assurance, collaboration, and communications software that is currently in use in major industry working groups. Technology Exploration Group, under Greg’s leadership, was able to establish a website for the FAA / Industry group Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team (UAST), and has acted as the groups technical lead since 2017, while also acting as vice-chair of the Loss of Control Working Group throughout the development of the groups first safety enhancements. Greg was appointed to UAST steering in late 2018, and just this year was appointed to lead the UAST Communications Working Group, one of 4 working group leads.
Greg actively participates on leading industry standard groups such as ASTM’s F38 working group. As part of that mission, Greg and his teammates are crafting the standards for remote id, detect and avoid, and the data dictionary for unmanned traffic management (or UTM).
He is in his third term as Chairman and President of Silicon Valley AUVSI. Under his leadership, the chapter has won awards and celebrated numerous accolades, emerging as a leader among more than 40 world-wide chapters. Greg has been building and flying remotely piloted aircraft for over 30 years.
