Topic:
Understanding the 'Normalization of Deviance' and Exploring the Skew - T Diagram.
Date and Time:
Tuesday, March 26, 2019, starting at 18:30 Eastern Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Ryan Tollini, Mike Brubaker, Vincent Collazo
Brief Description:

This two part presentation will start with local Designated Pilot Examiners Ryan Tollini and Mike Brubaker taking a closer look at human factors and how a pilots willingness to deviate from a procedure or regulation on a regular basis can lead to catastrophic consequences including loss of control accidents.  We'll look at how the normalization of deviance can find its way into your flight operations, as well as how to prevent it.

The second presentation will be lead by Capt. Vincent Collazo, where we'll discover an often overlooked but valuable preflight planning tool known as the Skew-T diagram and how it's use can help you plan for your next flight.
