About the Speaker: Don Lee ATP MEL & MES CFI CFII MEI AGI DPE

Don has been flying the beautiful yet often unforgiving Alaskan wilderness since the early 1970s where his career began flying for lodge and guide service for hunters and fishermen. Over the last 40 years, he has flown all over Alaska, from the Aleutian Chain to the Beaufort Sea. He also honed his skills flying expeditions in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and throughout the wilds of Australia. Don flew STOL missions in Afghanistan for the coalition forces during "Operation Enduring Freedom." He has spent decades providing expedition air support for climbers on Mt. McKinley and has over 6,000 glacier landings, more than 8,000 hours on floats with a total time over 22,000 hours.

Don is excited to pass his experience on to all pilots, both old and new, and never tires of flying with students and friends. He prides himself on working with the most experienced pilots and finding new tricks for them, as well as working with new pilots who desire to try new things.
