Mike grew up in Idaho where he spent much of his youth in the great outdoors. Later, he lived in Alaska for six years, where he continued to learn about surviving in the wilds. During his time working and flying in Alaska and around the world, he received formal military survival training from the Air Force. His knowledge gained from training and being in the wilderness is what he wants to share with others. His presentation has been well received from pilots and non-pilots alike, who may one day find themselves in a survival situation.

Mike is sponsored by Ballou Skies Aviation
