Brief Description:

Northern California is a seaplane pilots dream. It has most of the state’s water! Add spectacular mountain scenery and back country high terrain lakes and you have airplane water adventures right in your backyard. But you need a seaplane and a license to fly one. Find out what it takes to obtain a seaplane rating. Learn what it takes to challenge yourself in an aircraft that is both airplane and boat. See the challenges with pictures and videos that are unique to seaplane flying. Let’s explore ways to bring more seaplanes to Benton and create opportunities for local pilots and pilots from afar to discover the joys of water flying.
