Title:
G1000 Idiosyncrasies
Topic:
Why did it just do that?
Date and Time:
Wednesday, October 10, 2018, starting at 19:00 Pacific Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Bennett Taber, ATP, CFII, Check Airman
Brief Description:

The G1000 was originally designed and marketed as an introductory-level system designed with the needs and interests of the private pilot guiding its design. Although it does an adequate job of meeting these requirements, it comes with numerous idiosyncrasies, omissions, and outright traps that the potential buyer would do well to consider prior to choosing to install this system in a fast airplane intended to be flown in corporate or charter service.

Join Ben Taber, ATP, CFII, & Check Airman as he reviews his extensive experience with the G1000 in the charter world.  The King air is a fast plane but many planes in general aviation are fast as well and Ben’s knowledge and experience will really come in handy for the average general aviation pilot.  This will be a lively discussion so bring you questions and experience to share.

Capt. Bennett Taber is a check airman and training captain with over 20 years and 16,000 hours of air charter experience (11,000 hr.s in a King Air)  throughout the western United States. His first 500 hours of flying were conducted in Alaska. Captain Taber manages flight operations and charter sales for Dreamline Aviation in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a Dreamline Training Captain in Beech King Air aircraft.
