Title:
NAFI MentorLIVE What We Should Teach About Engines
Topic:
Tom Turner presents important training concepts regarding aircraft engines that can be invaluable lessons for student pilots.
Date and Time:
Wednesday, August 15, 2018, starting at 19:00 Central Daylight Time (17:00 PDT; 18:00 MDT; 20:00 EDT; 14:00 HST; 16:00 AKDT; 17:00 Arizona; Thursday, August 16, 2018 00:00 GMT)
Speaker(s):
Tom Turner and Rick Todd
Brief Description:

Why do flight instructors need to teach about engines? Engine performance management, power loss and engine failure procedures, and transition training into higher performance aircraft are just a few.

These skill sets are not typically taught during pilot certificate and ratings training. If flight instructors don’t teach about aircraft engines, then who will?

nFlightMic - Sponsor

Our mission at NFlight Technology is to create solutions that bring consumer products into the aviation market, creating superior and more cost-effective options for pilots. The NFlightMic is a new product with the potential to change one of the most fundamental pieces of equipment pilots use every day: the headset.

For the last several decades, we have been bound by the limited size of the aviation market and the select suppliers willing to produce aviation-specific headsets. The NFlightMic removes these boundaries by providing an aviation microphone compatible with almost any headset, dramatically reducing the cost of a high-quality headset while simultaneously increasing the size of the headset market available to pilots.
